Dreaming of (bed and) breakfast

This past weekend I went on a tour of the dreamiest bed and breakfast I’ve ever been to. Okay, I know what you’re thinking and the answer is you’re right; I’ve never been to a B&B before, but I have to imagine this one is more heavenly than most.

Over the weekend The Publishing House Bed and Breakfast offered their first sneak peek to the public. In an unassuming loft space tucked behind a bright blue door is the lobby of a gorgeous former-Free-Methodist-Publishing-House-turned-Bed-and-Breakfast. The space offers 11 rooms that can be booked individually, or bridal parties (or corporations, or wedding parties, or anyone in need of 11 rooms) can book the entire space out for up to 25 guests.

Centered around a giant double walled concrete fireplace, the main living space hosts a large 12 person dining room table, stylish couches, a baby grand piano, and a spacious kitchen – a must for any B&B. They also boast a stellar breakfast, though sadly the kitchen was not up and running for the tours so I can’t attest to it. They did pour a great mimosa though.

On Sundays they plan to show movies for all guests in their spacious media room. Booking out the entire place? Then you can use the media room even more freely. There are also book out options to bring in your own chefs, cook on your own and have up to 46 guests for a meal.

With rooms ranging from $189 – $300+ per night, they have a wide variety of options for any need. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Chicago I definitely recommend looking into the The Publishing House.

Haven’t convinced you enough? Keep scrolling for photos of their space.
